Through this protocol, the University of A Coruña and Fundación RIA intend to contribute with their joint work to the planning and sustainable management of the Galician territory and to the exchange, creation and transfer of knowledge, in particular those related to training in architecture, territory and landscape.
Both parties consider it necessary to bring the university closer to the social and labor spheres in order to facilitate the future labor market insertion of university graduates through academic programs coordinated with problems present in society and the alternation of their training with external internships.
The Universiade da Coruña intends to take advantage of the accumulated experience of Fundación RIA in terms of methodologies of citizen participation, field work and involvement of various agents in decision-making. In addition, it wants to take advantage of its capacity to connect academic research and training with real and concrete case studies and, in this way, enhance the value of public education as a service to society, returning part of the investment in the form of research and project proposals.
The agreement will facilitate the exchange of professionals, professors and researchers and encourage joint participation in bilateral or multilateral research and development projects and programs.
